Fancy hates being home alone. I feel bad if I do have to leave her so it is easier just to bring her with me. She gets nervous if she sees me putting my shoes on and I haven't asked her yet if she wants to go bye-bye. Fancy is more stressed staying home alone than going with me.

| I think it all depends on your dog. Some dogs are fine being home, maybe more independent and not going out ...louis likes to be with me. He'll do anything to go run errands with me and of course it doesn't bother me .

Start out small. Put them in the bag at home and give them a treat. Then start carrying it around and praising your pup. Then go on short trips where they are allowed to stick their head out. Just get them used to being in the bag as much as you can, and if they enjoy it... they will have no problem being quiet for you Couver knows that if he's quiet in his bag, he gets to come with... He would way rather be with mom than be at home, so he is happy to be in his bag! It is important to start them young

| Purse train them the minute you get them! We had ours in her cute Alex luxe bag from day 1--she goes everywhere with us! Museums, restaurants, plays, dance competitions, the mall, Target...and noone knows we're packing a fur baby! We always make sure her needs are met--and take her out for frequent walks/potty breaks outside. we put a few toys in her bag and keep the ends up for circulation. We also check inside frequently to make sure she's not getting warm...and no clothes on if it's a long bag day--too toasty. She loves it so much if it is sitting on the living room floor-she jumps in and pops her little head out, like "ok guys...let's go have fun". We started with the small bag....and she outgrew that bag---so got the large and re-homed our first bag to another yorkietalk family! She's about 6 lbs. she fit in the small---but, didn't have room to get comfy on her long days out! |

| My Yorkie is 8 lbs. Would she fit the large Kwigy Bo? She likes to ride around in her Fundle with her head poking out. I need something that can be zipped for sneaking her in stores. |

| i rescued my dog when he was 4 and he just loved carriers from the start, so you don't necessarily have to start young for them to enjoy it. luckily, he is an extremely quiet dog and doesn't move about in the bag, so i can take him anywhere i want. taking him along eases my 'parent' guilt - when i'm at work during the week he's alone so i try to take him with me on days off and weekends. i just recently bought an alex bag (size small, putty color) and i have to concur with the rave reviews. it looks like a regular purse and is just perfect for going into stores. my dog is 5 pounds and he just fits length-wise in the carrier. i have read that many people 'size up' when buying a carrier, but i was always told that a carrier should feel secure to them and if it's too long/wide they will be moving about. unless it's for a long duration (like flights) i'd buy a bag without too much extra room. |

But that is just my opinion and what works best for my little princess. Each little one has different comfort needs.

| I have the Kwigy Bo Alexa bag for Molly and she loves being in it. The only problem I have is if she's inside of the bag in the car. She gets car sick. So, I either have her on a washable pee pad on the car seat with a special dog seat belt or in the bag with it unzpped. Molly prefers the former in the car. I have also seen an inexpensive soft sided courier style carrier made by Outward Hound that has pink and brown polka dots on it and lots of mesh on the ends and front for air circulation. I was thinking of trying that since it's cute and doesn't immediately scream "dog" to see how Molly does in it. While in the stores being carried about in the Kwigy Bo is great, as it really looks like a purse and since Molly is quiet in it, we've been able to go to Wal-Mart, Target, grocery stores, etc. without being "caught".

| Just bought a Vera Bradley bag and hope my Tessa likes it! I think it looks great and has a big pocket for my stuff too! I have been taking Tessa with me since day one! They love her at my bank, if fact if I don't bring her for some reason, they are dissapointed! They also love her a Walgreens! Took her to Kroger with me the other day (in a carrier) and she was quiet till we got to check-out--then she started to bark! Guess she wanted to see who I was talking to! They were great, wanted to see her and didn't care about her being in the store--she's cleaner than lot of people that come in!! |

| Not to highjack the thread, but can anyone suggest a good carrier to carry both my little dogs in? Sushi is 3lb and Mr. Big is 2lb. I have a Lux Lucy back, which I absolutely love (they seem to like it too) but it can only accomodate one of them at a time. |
