| fabric softener as conditioner? Has anyone ever heard of using fabric softener as conditioner for your baby? I had known a lady a while back that would dilute some in water and use that instead of a normal conditioner. Any thoughts?

| Honestly, I would not suggest do this. FS is filled with all sorts of chemicals, dyes, fragrance, etc...that can cause allergies and itchy skin. I stopped using FS in my laundry b/c of this reason |

| Funny I should come across this post, just earlier I was searching for shampoo and found a site where a groomer said she learned to use FS as a conditioner in grooming school . Being a groomer I was appalled. I mean so many people can't use FS because of allergies so WHY would you put it on your dog or someone else's. |

| My moms groomer which is now retired used to use fabric softener (diluted) to detangle her OES but i would not do that. If you want to try it or do it anyway i suggest you atleast use an all natural brand that is free of dyes and harsh chemicals ie: seventh generation or there's another one that is even better but im forgetting the name of it now...but you can buy a bottle of dog conditoner or detangler for the same price |

| Oh my! We took Cujo and Rebel to a new groomer last week. She was so sweet and so good to them! When we picked them up, she said that she uses Downy mixed with dog conditioner and that it works wonders on matts and tangles. She mentioned the dye free, fragrance free kind. I don't know what to think about it. They certainly don't show any ill side effects from it.

| I have never heard this nor would I ever use it. However I do have a great use for fabric softner that, if you cook, you will love. Want to hear it? Here goes: Whenever you bake something, roast, baked zitti etc. and it sticks to the pan just fill the pan with hot water and put in one softner sheet. Wait about 20-30 mins and wallah! Every bit of food that was stuck to the pan is now off and pan is ready for a wash. No scrubbing ever again. It works everytime. |
