| BioSpot? What does anyone know about BioSpot? Any information for dogs and cats would be great.

Donating YT 1000 Club Member | It is very harsh, known to sting and burn. It will control fleas and ticks but I would never recommend it to anyone for any pet of any size.

| Does anyone know anything fairly inexpensive that works? Frontline doesn't do anything with any of my animals, dog or cat, and is way too expensive especially to do nothing. There is something else that you can buy at the pet store... It's Sentry Natural Defense I think... what about that?

| I'd do a search, I've read things about brewers yeast tablets and some other things. I keep Lilly on Comfortis.

| What is Comfortis - where do you buy it? Frontline doesn't seem to be working for us...

It's a tablet, I usually give Lilly's to her in some bread mashed around it, otherwise she spits it back out. I think it's kind of like Capstar (which kills all live fleas within 30 minutes) except the Comfortis is supposed to last all month long. If you do decide to give this, I'd make sure with your vet that your heartworm preventative (if you give one) is ok to give with the Comfortis. You can most likely get it from a vet in your area or if none of them carry it, you can get a script for it and order it online, I think. Also, make sure you give it right after a meal or it can possibly make the dog sick. HTH!

| Please DON'T use bio spot on your dog. I almost lost my little biewer last year after using it on him. I noticed when I put it on, it smelt kind of funny, he's only around 6 lbs. and not long after he started acting very strange. kept jumping in my clean towels and trying to get it off him, jumped the gate twice, which he never does, and was very lethargic. I got a hold of a breeder and she said to get it off of him with dawn detergent. So, at 11:00 pm I was bathing him in the sink with dawn. Not long after that he was back to normal, but, please stay away from that stuff |
