It's a tablet, I usually give Lilly's to her in some bread mashed around it, otherwise she spits it back out. I think it's kind of like Capstar (which kills all live fleas within 30 minutes) except the Comfortis is supposed to last all month long.

If you do decide to give this, I'd make sure with your vet that your heartworm preventative (if you give one) is ok to give with the Comfortis.

You can most likely get it from a vet in your area or if none of them carry it, you can get a script for it and order it online, I think.

Also, make sure you give it right after a meal or it can possibly make the dog sick. HTH!
