| Anyone given their dog Nature's Variety raw meat? Do they like it? I bought some but won't give it to her until tomorrow. |

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | I give it to mine.....I mix it with their dry kibble. It's the dry kibble that mine get bored with, that's why I decided to give the raw a try. They all seem to like it well; we've tried 3 or 4 flavors and no ones turned their nose up to any of them yet.

| I have, and mine love it.... the organic chicken. I feed dry, grainless kibble in the morning and raw at night with salmon oil on both feedings. My middle one has hot spots, so I'm trying another meat...I'm told some dogs are allergic to chicken. |

| Mine love it! I actually feed a prey model raw diet but keep some Nature's Variety on hand for those times when it's more convenient to feed. They love all their food now! They used to be picky when it came to kibble regardless of the variety. |

| Well....I finally got to give her some and it was a hit! She was just swallowing it and finished 2 of them in less that 3 minutes I gave her a bath afterwards because it grosses me out. Btw, I read you shouldn't give them kibbles for about 12 hours. Anyone know why? |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Yes - NV is all that I feed both my guys. Love it. You can feed raw and non-raw together, btw. What you read is a myth.

| I've started mine on Nature's variety on Thurs. (venison) ...They devoured it...However, the 3rd day one of mine threw up and didn't eat anything all day (except yogurt)...So, I decided to try Bravo (chicken) again they loved it...Had to put a little bit of shredded cheddar on one of them....After that, they just ate the Bravo... I agree about it being gross to cut up and watch them eat it....Yuk ! I hope I can handle it....!!!!!!!! yuk !

| My girls eat it and love it! If it bothers you, you can wipe thier mouth off with a baby wipe afterwards. I also feed my babies other raw meat, so I guess my gross reflex isn't as high as yours

| I haven't tried NV but I do use a locally made raw food and Olivia loves it. But when my vet asked what I feed Olivia (on our first trip to the vet after Olivia arrived here) and I told her raw diet, she wasn't real thrilled about that. I asked what her objections were and she said salomonella (sp?). I'm still feeding her the raw diet...but now every time I think about what the vet said.

The Many Myths of Raw Feeding Btw, Salmonella is found in the feces of kibble-fed dogs. Yep.
