| Car Seats Does anyone use a car seat for their dogs? If so, what do you think of it and do you have a certain one to reccomend? Bella goes every where with me on the weekends and I sometimes have a hard time keeping her in one place in the car. Thanks for any advise you can give!

| I use one that hooks on the passenger seat. Highly recommend using one. It keeps them where they are supposed to be and they can see out the window. It also makes them feel safer if they are a little edgy in the car. |

| My doggy bag is used for a car seat as well. It has a handle across the back so you can put the seat belt through it.

| I have one very similar like that one. I bought mine from petsmart. It has been so helpful. Roxy would like to wander around or climb on me when Im driving so I bought this and I really love it. |

| I also recommend the console carseat. There is a great one made by Lookout that I have (and it looks like that is the one Brittie has too). It's great for one dog as it fits them perfectly and they get to be closer to you. I also have a Lookout full size car seat for the passenger seat for my other dog, but they both fight over who gets to sit in the console seat as it is more cozy and they both want to be closer to me. |

| We use the same console seat as everyone else. We got in about 4 weeks ago and mine LOVE it. THey loved going on car rides before, but now I just feel so much safer with them in the car, and they look so much more comfortable. I sell all of these: http://www.imapreciouspup.com/carseats.htm so if you are going to purchase one, email me so you can get the forum discount. The console one is definitely the best seller! |

| I don't have one but I need to get one soon. I'm always afraid of having a car accident and then the air bag will kill my dogs (because they usually sit on my lap in the front seat.

| I have the one Bella mentioned. Sophie's been using that one. I've recently ordered the console seat for Daisy. IIRC, the one I ordered is for puppies up to 4 lbs. I can't wait to get it! It was hard for me to drive and handle Sophie - she was all over the place! She adjusted to the car seat very quickly. I hope Daisy will do the same. |

| I use the console one and Tatum LOVES it! What's so great about it is that the dog sits up high and can see out AND is tethered in with a strap that attaches to her harness so they won't get thrown forward if you have a wreck. It won't work in all vehicles though... what do you drive? and what kind of console does it have? The reason we got the console one and not one that hooks or hangs on the passenger seat is so we can use it when two people ride in the front. It really is a very good decision to get one. I was in an accident where the car rolled several times back when my toy poodle was only 8 weeks old (about 16 years ago). Thank God we were both totally unharmed - I was in my seatbelt but he was not buckled in at all. What caused the wreck to begin with was him running all around the front seat and me trying to get him off of me. I swerved off of the road onto a gravel piece and then overcorrected. I would never blame him for the accident but after that I was very wary of riding with him. I didn't know about dog car seats then but it's one of the very first things we bought when we got Tatum. Can't recommend them enough!
