I use the console one and Tatum LOVES it! What's so great about it is that the dog sits up high and can see out AND is tethered in with a strap that attaches to her harness so they won't get thrown forward if you have a wreck. It won't work in all vehicles though... what do you drive? and what kind of console does it have?

The reason we got the console one and not one that hooks or hangs on the passenger seat is so we can use it when two people ride in the front.

It really is a very good decision to get one. I was in an accident where the car rolled several times back when my toy poodle was only 8 weeks old (about 16 years ago). Thank God we were both totally unharmed - I was in my seatbelt but he was not buckled in at all. What caused the wreck to begin with was him running all around the front seat and me trying to get him off of me. I swerved off of the road onto a gravel piece and then overcorrected. I would never blame him for the accident but after that I was very wary of riding with him. I didn't know about dog car seats then but it's one of the very first things we bought when we got Tatum. Can't recommend them enough!
