I can get you some stuff to read, as I know you are very scientifically inclined, but for others, I would suggest speaking to the vet before relying on titre testing and the reasons behind them etc.

Thanks Misty would love (I think lol) to read what you have. IMO there is much confusion over this topic and passionate beliefs some supported by the medical community and with in the medical community divisive opinions.

My old vet supported titer testing and after my dogs have matured they no longer get vaccinated but titered. That means they have all the core vaccines. I might rethink things if we ever do move out to the country and my dogs potentially are at much higher risk of being in contact with rabid animals.....

My pups have to go back to get their booster and rabies next Monday . The doctor will be asking me if I want heart worm chewies . Should I give them or not . Has anybody not given them ?

Again, learn what the risk of infection is in your area given your dog's lifestyle and compare that to potential adverse effects of the medication. Good luck finding information on the latter. What studies you find are likely funded by drug companies.
Keep in mind that my mother, deceased 2 years ago at age 84, remembered her aunt's dogs living upwards of 20 years old. Something has shortened their lives but we're hard pressed to prove it with "scientific" studies.
