| Voting against missouri puppy mills tomorrow -- with Oliver riding shotgun! We've waited a long time for this. If Missouri voters pass Proposition B, our state may finally lose that dubious distinction, "Puppy Mill Capital of the U.S." Send your good vibes in our direction, Yorkie Talkers! In 2008, Oliver and I launched a fundraiser on YorkieTalk, committing net sales of our book "How the Yorkie Rescued Santa" to the nearly 100 Yorkies that were seized from a Missouri puppy mill. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to donate $440 to the Missouri Humane Society's special fund that rehabilitated these babies. It was a proud moment for YorkieTalk, but I hope we don't have to repeat it. If Missourians do the right thing tomorrow, we won't! (If you're a new YTer and would like to have your own copy of the book, check out our website - Carol S. Porter - Writer, Editor, Speaker - and/or our special page on FaceBook. The website contains an audio clip from the story) Keep your fingers crossed for my home state! Oliver and I can't wait for the polls to open...

| Great to hear from you, Dianne! We're in unincorporated Manchester. (Guess we'll be heading to different polls ) But hoping for the same outcome, for sure. Did you ever think this day would come?

| Honestly, no I never thought this day would ever come. We've been getting bad publicity for years. You would have thought it would have come sooner. I've been talking with people at work all day today asking them to go vote tomorrow for Proposition B. So if there are any other Missourians here on YT, please spread the word. I work at 270 & Manchester at Edward Jones. So we really aren't that far away from each other.

| Puppy Mill Dog I had the misfortune to wind up in this place No grass beneath my feet, no sun on my face How I long to cry out but I can not speak A pipe down my throat now I can not make a peep Tumors on my stomach from being over bred No rest between litters not sure how many I have had But I must keep going because the alternative is bad When I can no long produce, there will be a shot to the head My soul is wounded , my body grows weak Cramped in this small cage with wire that cuts into my feet No warm area or dry bedding to rest my head. All around me there is only pain and misery ahead Their will be no Vet treatment coming, it cut into profits you see We suffer from broken bones, open sores and infections Coats so matted we can not move our limbs, this is our fate until the end Hide behind your rights so no one can see you care not for dogs but simple GREED !!!! The fate of mans best friend is in your hands Vote "Yes" on Prop B come election day !!! |

| As a society that values freedom, equality, love, and all that good stuff, I don't see how we can allow such horrible things to go on to our 4 legged friends. I was so angry when I read about the "Dirty Dozen" kennel people from MISSOURI that showed the world how horrible puppy mills can be. Although I am not from Missouri, I hope this law passes and the state becomes a role model for other states to follow suit. Instead of getting mad and pointing fingers... I will do my part in letting people know: Your Dog is Barking: “Go Out and Vote!” | PawshPal.com Blog Come on everyone. Let's DO THIS. |

| Does anyone know what happened with this bill? I don't understand how anyone except the owner of a puppymill could vote against this. I did hear Joe the Plumber was against it. |
