i did not say yours was stolen & i don't care about people thinking it is appropriate or not. Uninformed or people that don't want to be informed can not help themselves or anybody else. When they take one in a robbery they are probably going to try to sell them for drug money, but when they just pick them up out of people's yards or snatch them from someone arms, then that may be a different story. You have your opinion & i have mine so as far as i am concerned this subject is closed!!!!

in California, I believe it was. 2 idiots broke into a breeder's house with guns and took 3-4? baby-Yorkies. The breeder had a video camera in her house and everything was recorder. The poor little guys were running all over the place trying to get away from those 2 low-lives. Sadly they did get the little ones and put them in garbage bags!!

I don't think chip scanners should be available to the public. If someone has enough information from the chip can't they call and have the chip converted to their ownership?

OMG!!! This is such a terrible story...

I AGREE with the earlier poster!!! People should be charged for kidnapping the same as they do for a child!!! Some ppl cant have children, and adopting or having a furbaby is the most they can have and means so much to them.

I cant even handle when Roxy is away for a day with my boyfriend. Sometimes, about once every 2 months, I let him take her to his moms with him for a day, and for that whole day and night, all I can think about is missing her and sometimes I even call her and forget she isnt here.

If someone took her, and I had no idea where she was... I can not even begin to imagine the devastation that I would go through, and the worry for her. What they were going to do to her, who they were going to sell her to, what the ppl who got her planned to do with her...

I would be in complete misery.

I know some ppl cant understand it... and some ppl cant compare their animals to their kids... but I just cant think of Roxy any other way than my child. I have had her since she was a pup, and when she was sick, I held her, and when she was hurt, I fixed her and took her to the doctor, when she is hungry I feed her, when she is cold, I dress her.
I basically do what any good mother would do for her child... I even make her wear her seatbelt. She is too precious to me.

That woman is a saint for saying she wouldnt press charges... I might say that if I really wanted my dog back, but I think if it came down to it and I got my dog back, Id want some kind of action taken... so he didnt steal another furbaby.

I too saw the video of the burgulars caught on a video camera charging into a home and picking up yorkie pups and Mom and tossing them in a large black plastic bag... but there was a happy ending... all but one pup, plus the Mommy was reunited with the owner. Here is the follow up to the story......

LOS ANGELES - Four purebred Yorkshire terriers stolen at gunpoint during a home invasion robbery more than a week ago were returned to their owners after a man turned himself in to police.

Three puppies, valued at $2,500 each, and a full-grown family pet named Tan-ja were reunited with their owners at the Wilshire Division police station Saturday night. One puppy remained missing, police said.

Family members hugged and kissed the panting pups and left the police station with the dogs in their arms.

The animals were recovered after Ryan Betton, 19, of Los Angeles, surrendered to police Friday night, Detective Luis Corona said. A second suspect, 23-year-old Troy Cabral, turned himself in Sunday morning.

wow I remember before Iwas a breeder and had a pet yorkie someone broke in my home and took money but left my dog I must admit I was so happy they didnt take my dog I would have cried for ever but I was so worried wondering if they touched my dog or wondering what my dog thought while they were in my house stealing ,Iam just glad they obviously didnt want my dog

I would feel happy as well. I prefer they take everything and leave my two little treasures I can replace almost all (?), but not my fur-kids

I feel like an alien sometimes. Only here I can talk about my babies and no one things of me as 'STRANGE.' I am my fur-kids' mom. If I had human children, there would be no difference in my care and concern for them and my little ones. But I do see it in their eyes when people don't get it, even people with dogs. Too bad, I don't get them either
