[News] Puppy Mill Raided! This is heartbreaking. Officers raid puppy mill, 'astounded' by filth | KOMO News - Seattle, Washington | News |
That is such a sad story, hope all the dogs find good and loving homes, and the owner as well....in prison!! :aimeeyork:aimeeyork:aimeeyork:aimeeyork:aimeeyork |
:( no arrest have been made yet....I hope they get everyone involved! |
Thank God they raided that place. I will never understand how anyone could treat a dog like that. |
I wish they would also tell us how the people were selling these dogs. Too many people are buying their dogs from a cute website, and not investigating the breeder, and kennel conditions. While I'm glad that people no longer will purchase dogs from pets stores, buying them from a website seems much worse. |
It looks like the community is really coming together over this! Good! I hope every single one of those babies are adoptable and find loving homes and the education about puppymills keeps moving forward! We need strict laws, write your Representatives and use these cases as examples! It is the only way to get justice for these poor dogs and to see punishment for those who deserve it! |
It makes me sick to my stomach to hear of people treating animals like this! The owners of this puppy mill should be stuck in a cage and treated the the same exact way! People like this make me very angry! |
OMG, I feel so sorry for all those poor puppies. Thank-God they shut it down. The only way to rid of Puppy Mills and these horrible people is one @ a time!! Prayers for these and all Puppy Mill Puppies... :hands::cry8: |
i read through the comments from the posted link. apparently, one of the puppy mill owners friend turned him in. what we read so far, according to him, "is only the tip of the iceburg." makes me wonder how much worse this will get. the friend said he struggled much with the dilemma and apparently owns several dogs himself. however, he had to forego the friendship to do the right thing and reported the puppy mill. i agree with many of you and hope that those greedy and awful puppy mill owners receive their just retribution. i'm totally appalled whenever i see stories like this. makes me wish that i got my yorkie from a rescue. may those now rescued dogs find a home that can give them the lives they deserve. |
If only more people would come forward & report these places. Bravo to the man who turned these people in! You just ha ve to wonder how these people could live in that house. But even where they lived was not as bad as these poor dogs |
I'm seeing reports of mills being closed in GA,Washington, VA, all over......thank god the time has come and we are making a difference with our voices.............. |
Now they have just raided a home in Mount Vernon that had over 400 dogs. So many they couldn't logistically take all of them. According to the news report neighbors had been complaining about this home for several years and just got a search warrant after several raids on puppy mills in Snohomish County. The reason they raided the one in Mount Vernon was because 2 of the raids in the Snohomish raids were daughters of the woman in Mount Vernon. I can't believe they left about 150 of the healthier dogs with that woman and why wasn't she searched earlier given the reports that numerous people reported her years ago? Such a sad situation for those poor dogs. It's just plain unimaginable for me to understand how anyone could do this to a poor innocent animal. |
Here is a link to a written report. I stand corrected they left 250 dogs there. On the live broadcast I swear they said 2 Snohomish County raids were daughters of hers but the written only says one. Anyway, still a very sad situation. Neighbors complained about alleged puppy mill | Local News | KING5.com | News for Seattle, Washington |
This is extremely sad, I just contacted a SPOT rep. They are the ones that are taking and placing the dogs once they are no longer being kept as evidence. We are bringing in blankets, towels, and a couple extra crates. I also donated cash. They are going to need so so much help. this is the link to S.P.O.T.'s wesite for anyone else who wants to help.Saving Pets One at A Time (S.P.O.T.) I live in Mount Vernon and cannot belive how bad this got. This just breaks my heart. |

Sorry, I didn't have time to post it myself... I know those people and they have scandal reputation for a long time. Before many were afraid to speak about them. I personally did have fight with them too....and even send some link about them on this board. But thanks God, I do know some people who made this story public. They contacted TV and provided them all necessarily information, this is WHY two puppy mills shut down already. Because of their effort, TV is involved now. Keep your eyes, will be more stories. This is place my baby came from!!! My honey Jessica.... my sunshine... I don't now exactly what house she came from-)))), but she was brought to me same "lady" whose kennel was shut down at Mt Vernon a few days ago. They have 5 locations and it is a family business: mother and two daughters (one in Snohomish - she has two locations, and another in Gold Bar that was shut down last week). They are just monsters, trash.... They do business as Wags and Wiggles, owner is Renee Roske, she was official seller I got my dog from. So please do not buy from them. This is info for those who live close.... please help Panther Lake Estates is where Renee Lynn Roske lives at: 4205 - 165th Ave. S.E., Snohomish, WA 98290. It is also where her mom, Majorie Ann Sunberg AKA Majorie Chinneth lives at: 4302 - 165th Ave. S.E., Snohomish, WA 98290. Also, Renee's sister, Mary Ann Holleman AKA Hollerman, live there too at: 4525 - 165th Ave. S.E., Snohomish, WA 98290. We need to e-mail the "Panther Lake Estates" web-site, in protest of these three (3) homes running puppy mills within the Panther Lake Estates!! It is against their Estates Rules & Regulations to have a business like this running in their Estates! Please help by e-mailing their web-site at: pantherlake.net. It was a raid to one more of their houses, but they moved all dogs from there IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT !!!. I also know that those monsters have a good lawyer, probably this is why they still not arrested and they STILL have MANY dogs in their houses (more that 200). Now. regarding help. This what I have been trying to do for last week. First raid's (Gold Bar) dogs are located at Everett shelter and they do not need any volunteers. Only take donations. I called them immediately, but they refused not only my help. Even more ridiculous is they have declined help from Pasado Safe Haven to take in 100 dogs and offer free veterinary care. Everett shelter is high-kill, so I don't know what's going on there. Second raid - Mt Vernon. They keep most of the dogs in Skagit County Fairgrounds, but yesterday 56 dogs were moved to NOAH - 31300 Brandstrom Rd in Stanwood. They are not open for public. You cannot see them, foster or adopt for few weeks at least. I was there yesterday.... I even saw some of them from street. And were maaaany cages outside....-((( Another organization is SPOT, but I have extremely hard time to reach them:(. I left many messages, but no response yet. I probably will be able to foster up to 4 yorkies, but... no responses-(((((((((( I do understand that they are busy.... but... and they located SO far from me... This message I received from Tahlia/GanserReporter/Skagit Publishing Here is what is recommended to tell them: Cash donations would be most helpful. An account has been set up at the Chuckanut Valley Vet Clinic and any wanting to donate can call there at 757-3722 or stop by there at 896 North Burlington Blvd. If the person wants to donate dog food instead the brand needed (because that is what the puppies are already used to) is: Super Premium Nutra Nuggets. Optimum Health Puppy Formula It can be found at Costco in a purple colored bag. If they want to donate old towels or blankets they can be left with staff at the Chuckanut Valley Vet clinic. If the person is interested in being a foster parent for a dog they should call S.P.O.T. at 336-5388. This is a message phone and they should just leave their name and contact information and someone should get back to them. Please tell any callers…..thanks for caring ….the dogs appreciate it. So this what I know so far.... |
That was so sad. |

That is just beyond sad. It makes my heart break to see how inhumane people are. I hope those people get put behind bars for a long time.:thumbdown |
it is unbelievable that it has taken so long to raid these places. And that so many dogs have been left behind. Plus, what are the authorities thinking dumping these poor dogs on a kill shelter that refuses help from a rescue :mad: |
AGAIN>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 308 more dogs seized from alleged puppy mill 05:07 PM PST on Friday, January 23, 2009 KING5.com Staff MOUNT VERNON, Wash. – Another 308 dogs were seized in Skagit County Friday as part of an investigation into an alleged puppy mill. The animals had been left behind during an earlier seizure at a home in the 16000 block of Mountain View Road. Related Content 1/22/09: Neighbors complained about alleged puppy mill 1/21/09: Hundreds of dogs rescued from puppy mills 1/18/09: 155 dogs seized in Snohomish Co. puppy mill raid Several have tested positive for a potentially deadly intestinal disorder called coccidia. Coccidia can manifest itself in the stomach and intestines of puppies and older dogs that suffer from a compromised immune system. The dogs are being moved to the Skagit Valley Fairgrounds for treatment. Then they will be moved to shelters and foster homes. In all, 443 dogs have been taken from the Skagit County home. 308 more dogs seized from alleged puppy mill | Top Stories | KING5.com | News for Seattle, Washington goog news: The puppy mill that was raided in Mt. Vernon, was Marjorie Sundberg's and they left half the pups the other day. They only took half. Now they went back with a warrant and got 178 more pups today!!! More puppy mills in WA: Still alive & well-this one is .77 miles up Eatonville Road from Wash Rt. 161-someone in the area ought to go investigate-breeds 'designer' pups on Kijiji and... There is a place that is called Lilybob Kennels. I went in there to look at German Shepherd Dog pups that they advertised on a road side sign. I went in to look at pups and the place smelled like crap they had GSD pups, Pom pups, s**t-su(sp)pups, and other mixed little dogs. They were all in crates that had not been cleaned, the house was filled (and I mean FILLED) with junk, the property has at least 5 RV's that people live in, 2 houses and garbage and junk everywhere. Even the dog runs were filled with trash and feces. Of course I didnt get a pup from them, The Bitch GSD that they bred was filled with breed faults and her ears didnt even stand up. She almost looked like a Lab/GSD mix. Then they bred to a male dog that they had papers on but knew nothing about or why they even bred the litter. (it show they only care about makin a buck) I only went into one house...who knows whats in the other ones. The sign for pups goes up A LOT. I live in the area and notice it frequently. It is off of 304th in Graham, between Meridian and Orting/Kapowsin Hwy. To get there go out Meridian to 304th go left, go about 1-2 miles and you will see their sign on the left. It is about 120th and 304th. Please don't contact me I am telling you this to go and see for yourself, then report them to as many people (authorities/media) as you can. there are many more in our state. new Missouri?:( |
Thank god they went back and got the rest. I know they were overwhelmed with the amount of dogs they had to deal with but it really bothered me they left some after seeing the conditions they were living in. May they pay dearly for what they've done to this many innocent animals. |
glad they are getting more out. Is anyone being arrested? Are they letting no-kill rescues help? |
Now they are up to 600 dogs being rescued and 80% of them are pregnant!!! Here's an update... Local News | 600 rescued dogs and 80% are pregnant | Seattle Times Newspaper |

But I do not understand the newspapers stance - "The Seattle Times is not naming the property owners because charges have not been filed." -- that is crazy! This certainly falls under the Freedom of Information Act. It should not have anything to do with whether charges have been filed. While I do not live there and do not know how easy it is to access the county assessors website to gain owner information -- (where I live, the assessor's site is a wealth of info, with pictures of the property & easy to use - but I have heard that people all over the country would like to be able to duplicate it.) Whoever owns that property - even if they do not live there, are not involved in the puppy mill needs to be pressured! And I bet that they are the owners of this puppy mill operation -- especially given what those of you on YT have posted about them |
OMG..I bought my dog from her! I bought a dog from this woman, she lived in a nice home and didn't have many dogs there, also her house was clean and didn't smell. Had I any idea she had an off-site mill going on I would have turned her in myself! The pet store in Monroe Wa is collecting donations of money for these poor dogs, I am going to see if we can adopt one. We have two old yorkie girls and the Yorkie/Pom girl we bought from this bad breeder. I feel bad we supported someone who is so inhuman for material gain..makes me sick.:aimeeyork:mad: |
Animal control officers are asking anyone who purchased a dog from the Mountain View kennel to call the Skagit County Sheriff’s office. Nice house, very clean, no dogs, just a few.... This is how they fool people... |
Thanks for the Information I will email the website you posted to tell them we bought a dog from Wags and Wiggles, two years ago this coming April. If you have any other info I hope you will post it. Thank you.:) |
Oh, I keep my eyes on those people since the time I got my baby. I am going to send to officer mass information that I got from many private e-mails. And right now I am going to Mt Vernon to drop off some donations. Too bad - they haven't contacted me... he-he, today is snow... hopefully road will not be icy-))) |
