north carolina I live here their are puppy millls all around me!! I have tried to shut one down and at no avail! the judges here claim they don't have time to worry about animals there are too many poeple to prosacute! This makes me so Mad!!! We have laws in place here but they are not inforced, this puppy mill has been convected 20 times for animal cruelty /abuse and neglect. Yet I was told they can only take a dog away if he is sick or dieing, how stupid is that? I call them out on him all the time anyway, and have linked lots if info on my website about these places, I do hope at least to teach the poeple around here about these puppy mills so they won't buy from them, Blessings to all of you lets keep fighting for these babies and maybe some day things will change |

that the gal from Washington state put up? You have to skip the first couple bills - but they spend a long time discussing their breeder bill. (I listened while I did some other things - because it is long - but very informative) This is really where it needs to start in every state. At the top - because too many places, the law officials won't do anything & if they do raid a mill - the courts do little or nothing to those horrid people |
All 93 yorkies were taken to the St.Louis humane society. And they said they will be ready for adoption in a week or so. At this point they just need to shave all of them and then they will be able to see if they are dealing with any other problems with them. They don't know how long most of them had been WITHOUT food & water. I just pray the adoption fee will be an amount people can afford right now so we can get all these babies into good loving homes. I told my husband maybe we need to move to the country so I can adopt more yorkies. We live in town and already have 6 furbabies. (only suppose to hve 3, so we are careful not to let them all out at the same time lol) |

I have tried, but I guess I don't have enough posts to start a new thread. I am sorry if my posting here has been a problem. |
here's the link to St. Louis humane society Humane Society of Missouri - www.hsmo.org |
I think Michelle from our rescue is going to call because we have a license for MO. I also called and left my personal info. I told them I would foster or adopt and would make the trip to St. Louis to pick them up. |

Or you could PM some info & I'll start a new thread in News |
Back on the topic of what's up with the puppy mill in Washington... One of the handful of cats from these "breeders" was brought in to the hospital where I work just yesterday. His ears were badly disfigured-- as far as we can tell, someone had DOCKED his ears in an attempt to make him look like a Scottish Fold. The poor baby had an amazingly his sweet disposition-- I would have taken him home with me if we didn't already have three pets in an apartment that only allows two! He's at Meow Cat Rescue and cleared for adoption now if anybody is looking for a new furkid. |
Were they breeding cats too, or were these family pets? Did these people even have pets? Wow - that sounds weird -- I've never stopped to think about if a puppy mill owner would have a pet  -- I think how could they have a pet -- how could you treat one animal like a pampered princess and the other animals in your house, like these porr animals were treated |
If they were breeding cats, it was probably on a really small scale-- I think they only pulled about half a dozen from the mill. But this cat that we saw yesterday with the cropped ears was about 3 years old and unaltered, which would lead me to believe that he wasn't a housecat... I don't even know what they would have been thinking doing that to a cat... but I guess it is pretty useless trying to figure out what people who obviously have no sense could have been thinking. |
1 Attachment(s) :(I am in Shock right now... I do not have TV so I am just learning about this puppy mill! I know about puppy mills I was so careful, I did my research, I know not to buy from a pet store or the internet, or the paper. So I called my best friend to find where she got her yorkie three years ago... Renee Roske at wags n wiggles! I am sick i bought my baby yorkie in september of 07 from this monster, she is evil she has all the right answers there were a few red flags but I thought all in all she knew a lot about this breed and really took care of these guys her house and yard were spotless, I feel like a fool. I do have a precious yorkie with a heart murmur and various other ailments out of this, I just feel sick I gave this woman 1600.00 to help in her disgusting business. Is there anything I should have my vet look for in my yorkie??? |
Mlb, don't worry, you are not the only victim of her fraud. I was not stupid buyer, trust me, I did know a lot about yorkies, and I passed maaaany breeders because I catched them on lie. But she asnwered for all my questions... She knows how to fool people. Check for luxating patellas, asthma, she breeds her dogs with those genetic problems. Your pup is still young, luxating patellas can hurt your dog in the future. Read more: Wags & Wiggles Teacups User Reviews - Snohomish, WA 98290 - Citysearch |
3 Attachment(s) Omichka, WOW I went to that link and read all 87 reviews, I made my own review and have sent an email to the detective on this case. thank you, :animal-paWhat an eye opener, I am taking Paris to the vet on tuesday for a full all over vet check. |
Guys, CAN YOU BELIEVE IT??? This post is from craigslist: Since it's the same old goofy tirant that keeps posting these posts about The puppy mills that we're sick to death of and the puppy store protests and those similarly themed, and since they protest so close to the road, I propose that we get together with 'Poopless in Seattle' and borrow some of her 'fruit' and drive by and throw it at the commies that are protesting against capitalism. See Ya There!!! I know who they talking about.... WOW. Puppy millers really pissed off now... Yesterday one guy made some photos of the group. Btw, yesterday KOMO news radio took an interview too...:) |
Outragious!! Those people should try laying in their feces and be soaked in urine and develope spres and be starved and ...Well you see where I'm going with this. God Bless those poor little guys. I wish them well, and I hope they all get adopted and rescued into new loving homes. |
Wow Are these people naive, and in denial? or are they just plain evil? I'd like the think naive but I'm thinking they are just plain evil:eek:! We have a pet store in our town, and its amazing how many people dont realize those pups come from a puppy mill, I quietly let people know, in fact my mom knows how adimant I am about not buying dogs from farmland when she saw the stories about Renee she was sure that was where I got Paris and she didn't tell me because she knew it would break my heart that I did the exact thing I am so against.:aimeeyork:animal-pa |
It is irresponsible people who give good decent breeders a bad name and they are going to cause many a new law passed that will effect the livelyhood of those good breeders. It is such a shame that so many of them are in it for the money instead of the love of the animals. |
Unfortunately, most of the breeders are for money. Most iof the breeders are not educated enough. MOST. So to have bill like that is MUCH better that don't have any. This bill for a better protection thse poor dogs, not breeders. I just don't get it how so-called responsible breeders can be againt this bill. It was a shock for me when one of my friends who is member of local show breeder's club told me how that breeders reacted at the puppy mill raid news. All what they said: We have to tell people that not all breeders like that. No one asked is help needed or something like that. Duscusting:thumbdown. All they worry about is their reputation. And then I received a link to anti Humane Society propaganda from them. How Dare They.........:thumbdown More I find out about breeders, including so-called responsible, more I start to dislike them. Update: So far, it has cost Skagit County $18,000 for caring for these dogs. Look at the KOMO 4 News link below, and watch the news video, and read the article. They DID NOT receive $18,000 in donations. They have recieved alot of articles such as pet beds, towels, food, etc. Seized pups gaining weight, confidence | KOMO News - Seattle, Washington | Local & Regional Also, just copy of my e-mail: Super quick thing.. and btw... if breeders don't have anything to hide, why they are afraid of this bill so much? I know why! One of them has licence for 60 dogs. 60!!!! A typical large scale kennel aka puppy mill. Puppy mill don't mean very dirty places all the time... She is afraid that she will be shut down (hopefully) I know why! it will be too much work for them to take a good care of dogs, take them outside, play with them....because right now.... they keep them as livestock. shame on them. It just reminded me one of the dog, yorkie boy, that I saw at Roske house. It was very sunny summer day, and another breeder came to take him for a stud service. She put him on grass and that dog didn't know what to do, he closed his eyes from sunshine, and did not move. Oh, if I knew at that time what does it mean... poor dog, who stays in dark garage all the time and almost felt down because of sunshine..... |

"Anyone who has done business with Wags -n- Wiggles or owner Renee Roske - purchasing a puppy, for example - is asked to e-mail detectives at puppyinvestigation@snoco.org and describe their experience," sheriffs spokeswoman Rebecca Hover said this afternoon. Detectives will review the e-mails they receive, she said. They'll follow up as necessary. Roske has been connected to a Gold Bar-area home where officials rescued nearly 160 dogs from deplorable conditions, court documents show. Earlier this month, Snohomish County animal control officials issued an order revoking Roske's kennel license. The Snohomish woman filed an appeal Wednesday seeking to keep her business. No criminal charges have been filed against Roske. |
