| Teeth Cleaning question How often do you normally get a yorkies teeth cleaned? My puppy is 10 months old and she already has stinky breath and build up. Also how does your vet charge you? |

| Your puppy probably has some puppy teeth that haven't fallen out yet. Do you see double teeth when you pull the lips back? Retained baby teeth make their breath smell SOOOOOO BAD. If they haven't fallen out by now, it's unlikely they'll fall out on their own so you're going to need to have them pulled. The vet can clean the teeth at the same time as well. Do you brush your dog's teeth on a regular basis? Lacy had her retained puppy teeth pulled when she was like 7 or 8 months. She just turned three and hasn't needed her teeth cleaned. She only has very slight tarter on a few teeth. She's on a raw diet which doesn't cause tarter buildup like kibble and canned does. I brush her teeth really well once a week when I bathe her.

| Not sure if she has her baby teeth in or not, how will I be able to tell if there are extra teeth? Regardless, she needs her teeth cleaned so if there are I can have him pull the baby ones out. I didnt know that could be the cause of her stinky breath! How much does a cleaning normally cost? Does the vet have to shave her leg to get the sedative in her vein? Unfortunitly I dont brush her teeth, but now that I see that its something that def needs to be done, I will have to start. I do have some oral treatment meant to put in their water I am going to start using to help with the tarter. |

| Are you using Petzlife tooth paste? It really helps with bad breath.

| I Had Henry's Teeth Cleaned 3 Weeks Ago, It Cost 200.00 By The Time I Bought The Oravet Plaque Prevention Gel, And Blood Work Up . You Coat Their Teeth With The Gel,$ 30.00, Once A Week, But You Still Have To Brush. I Use Pets Life Gel In The Morning And The Spray At Night. Henry Eats Wet Food With His Dry, The Vet Said I Had To Clean His Teeth Every Time He Ate , Twice A Day. He Went Through A Lot With The Anistesia, And The Trama Of The Blood Work, I Dont Want Him Going Through This Again Soon. Henry Does Better If I Use A Terry Bath Cloth, Vet Said Make Sure It Was A Rough One. I Use A Seringe To Sneak The Spray In His Mouth. Just Use A Tiny Bit On Each Side. Hope This Helps Gb |
