| I though dogs and garlic don't bond together. I read some other forum that garlic will make dogs very sick. If garlic is good for anti fleas, how much shall we feed our yorkies? Shall we cook/boil the garlic first? chop it up into small pieces? or use garlic powder? Please advise. |

| Very small amounts...I homecook, so I usually just add one clove of finely chopped fresh garlic to one recipe that lasts 3 weeks. Garlic should not be given to anemic dogs. Or you can buy the garlic tabs...

| I just found this thread, hope no one minds seeing it brought back again. For a long time I have been concerned about the chemicals in fly spray for my horses. Several years ago I quit using regular fly spray and started either buying 100% natural sprays or mixing my own. I guess you probably wouldn't want to use this on a dog since it would most likely make them greasy but it didn't matter with my horses in the pasture. I would mix Skin So Soft, apple cider vinegar and some water in a spray bottle. That kept flys and mosquitos away pretty well. Also feed them garlic and apple cider vinegar. Obviously fleas aren't a problem with horses but I imagine they would of stayed away too. I don't know where I learned this but a dryer sheet will keep mosquitos away. I tie one to the stroller or put it on my sons overalls sometimes when we're outside. Deet makes my skin burn so I try to keep that stuff away from my children. |

| i give him 2 @ day in pill pockets. with the neem spray we are flea free. i know garlic is bad , but i think it's better than smearing toxic chemicals all over their neck.
