| We rely on the Minksheen shampoo. Never had a flea yet.

| There is a long thread posted just today about this. Anyway, I use twenty drops of euclutpis (sp) oil bought at GNC, to a 16 oz bottle of shampoo. Works like magic. do a search under fleas and you will find lots of other tips. |

| I've been using "K9 Advantix" for months and it works great. It repels fleas AND ticks. It's simply a tube of an oily substance that I apply 2 inches down her neck once a month, every month. I like this solution because it's easy to use, apply and I only have to worry about it once a month. Oh, and it works!

| I have minksheen shampoo(we just got it... and im gonna give her a bath with this-so we will see) About the post-i saw the one about fleas.. but most of it was all natural stuff (that isnt necessarily for fleas and dogs-which sounds like what i will probably end up doing, but i wanted to see if anyone uses something that works and isnt harmful to our lil ones?? thanks.

| I've tried both advantage and frontline, and I like advantage better because frontline leaves a sticky residue on her hair. It seems like I have to apply every three weeks instead of four though...maybe because I bath her once a week? Even then, it just seems like fleas are almost impossible to keep 100% away

| I use Advantage. My pup is 8 lbs. Advantage comes packaged according to the size of your dog. It works like a charm. I live in Texas where the fleas are a real problem, and Advantage keeps them off. I used to use Frontline but it did no good. It was as if the fleas were immune to Frontline. |

| I use Advantage as well, I didn't like Frontline at all...I also give them Sentinel for heartworms and fleas. My Kylie is allergic to fleas, so I have to do my best to keep them off of my babies completely. She will go nuts if she gets one flea on her. My babies weight range is from 4-6lbs. |

| we use revolution My girls (8 lbs., 6 lbs. and 2.5 lbs.) all use the Revolution. It includes the flea/tick stuff as well as the heartworm, which are really bad in Texas. My little one uses the one for 5 lbs. and under and my other 2 use the next size up. It is put on the back of their necks once a month and they have never had a flea or tick. Ivory soap in the bar not liquid is great to use if they do get fleas. It kills them dead, dead, dead! I recommended it to one of our rescue groups that receive their rescue animals usually covered in those nasty critters and they said it really works on the dogs and cats too! I think it may be the lye in there but whatever it is, those blood suckers hate it! |
