My girls (8 lbs., 6 lbs. and 2.5 lbs.) all use the Revolution. It includes the flea/tick stuff as well as the heartworm, which are really bad in Texas. My little one uses the one for 5 lbs. and under and my other 2 use the next size up. It is put on the back of their necks once a month and they have never had a flea or tick.
Ivory soap in the bar not liquid is great to use if they do get fleas. It kills them dead, dead, dead! I recommended it to one of our rescue groups that receive their rescue animals usually covered in those nasty critters and they said it really works on the dogs and cats too!
I think it may be the lye in there but whatever it is, those blood suckers hate it!
