I've tried both advantage and frontline, and I like advantage better because frontline leaves a sticky residue on her hair. It seems like I have to apply every three weeks instead of four though...maybe because I bath her once a week? Even then, it just seems like fleas are almost impossible to keep 100% away

Educate yourself and buy from reputable breeders or rescue.
