Two issues - First, it does make her cough a little. Her "adam's apple" is prominent and the collar seems to irritate it. Second, it rubs her hair off. She has pretty sensitive skin anyway and any rubbing seems to exacerbate that. Ideas are welcome as we would love to have ID on her at all times.

She is in a full coat but has had some thinning issues. The front of her neck/chest tends to be thinner finer hair with normal thickness elsewhere. We were using a 3/8 in or so nylon collar and went to a similar cat break-away version. I think the loosening has to do with the contour of her neck so it can slip up and down a bit and create a snagging issue. If we tighten it enough to not slip then it's too tight. Now that she's older, we might try again since her shape may have changed.

| Our dog also does this which is why I joined this site. Our vet says he is healthy but from day we brought him home he sounds like he has a hairball or something. He might weigh 2 lbs I hope that is normal too he is 6 months old very energetic and brave. |

| Same here: Baby Yorkiepoo hacks at night Sophie is just over 3 months old. It's terrible to watch. She will get off bed, take a few steps. hack, go back to the bed. This goes on and on every 3-4 minutes for what seems like forever. I only harness her, and when this happens she has NO Harness, no nothing on her at all. It seems to be at the end of the day and after her "Hyper Hour". Vet does not say much but I will push for an answer this month when we have our normal visit. |
