| So glad to see your baby made it through ok...Any teeth have to be removed? My little Emme had to have 5 teeth removed. I felt so bad for her to be in pain I swore I would stay on top of the brushing and plaque gel. The vet gave her some pain meds to take at home thank God....My 16-year old had her wisdom teeth removed the day before so I was really in Nurse mode! |

| Yes, he had one of his back mollars removed. I feel so bad too and I also promised to myself to be on top of his dental health. The vet didn't prescribed any pain killers, but she gave me antibiotics. It made me wonder about not getting pain medicine because he sounds sometimes like he is in pain but then he acts normal. . He is still a little down though. I'm sure he is going to be much better tomorrow.

| It's hard to tell when they are in pain because it is in a dog's nature to NOT show pain -- I guess in the "wild" it is a sign of weakness. I had a Jack Russell who ate rocks and it was hard to tell when one would get stuck in his intestines because he wouldn't show pain until he was actually in agony because the rock wasn't passing. We wound up having to put him down because the rock thing was a constant problem -- and with the surgery costing $1,800 each time we had no choice..... |
