| Poor Ralphie.. He had both a neuter and hernia surgery today. I was scared to death! Stayed at the vet until he woke up-- and will take him home in a few hours..he is one hurting puppy! I just hope it goes ok from here. Do the stiches usually stay in ? Will he eat and poop ok? I just hope he will be like himself in a few days. He is all of 3.7 lbs at 6months old.

| Teddy and I send our best wishes for a fast recovery to you and Ralphie. Teddy goes in tomorrow for his neuter and I am a nervous wreck! I wish there was some way some one else could drop him off in the morning because he gets so nervous that I know handing him over is going to make me cry. If there was anyway that I could skip Wednesday and just go on to Thursday I would. Please keep us updated on how your little one is doing so I know what to expect.

| Glad to hear Ralphie is "fixed" even though I didn't know he was broken! They are so hard to keep down for the first day or two especially when the vet says "Keep him quiet! Make sure he eats and drinks and pees and poops" Like they are gonna do those things when it really matters and mom wants a good report card for good nursing care..Just kiddin! |

Some Yorkies have to wear a collar to keep from licking/biting their stitches and in about a week i think they are taken out unless the stitches are the type that go away on their own. He might take a day or two for a poopy also from what I have seen in pets going through surgery. He should be feeling better soon and I am sure wanting gobs of hugs and kisses from you.

| Thanks to you all.!no one slept much last nite. Ralphie was in some pain, and did get medication at 2:30 am. Today, although he is alert-- he is not moving around very much. Has not pooped..but did pee ok. Appitite and drinking water. The collar will not work , as he was struggling so much, I was afraid he would hurt himself. So.. for the next 3-4 days-I will be right by him, so he does not lick his stiches. He had a very large hernia, and the site of the incision looks red, but I think that is normal. I will take the little guy to the vet on Sat to check if he is ok. He is such a little guy..this is really scary for me..!

| Thanks to all Ralphie is feeling better.. but now the challenge of keeping him "calm" per the vet! Yikes! I am not sure how to do THAT!Still has not pooped..May have to make him wear a collar although he screamed bloody murder when I tried to put one on him..I think I will be exhausted in six days when I go back to work!Need a vacation!!
