azkaty, hugs to Ralphie and you. I am sure your vet will give you all the instructions needed to care for him and answer your questions regarding his stitches care and diet.

Some Yorkies have to wear a collar to keep from licking/biting their stitches and in about a week i think they are taken out unless the stitches are the type that go away on their own. He might take a day or two for a poopy also from what I have seen in pets going through surgery.

He should be feeling better soon and I am sure wanting gobs of hugs and kisses from you.
