Donating YT 11K Club Member | Teddy's ear.. Help. IDK what this could be. I was petting him and in his ear it felt hard so when I checked it looks like dry blood. His ears are down and he has a lot of hair so i couldn't see just by looking at him. He looks like he has something in there. He also keeps scratching it. I don't think it's mites, idk what it is. I have this ear cleaner but im afraid to touch it cause i dont want to hurt him.

| I wouldn't put anything in it. I would take him to the vet to have it checked out. My Bichon has had many ear infections which always cleared up with antibiotics. He would schratch at them alot when it happened and it would bleed, also his ears would hang down kind of limp like. I could always tell right away by the way his ear would fall.

| My chi once got mosquito bites inside her ear, and then scratched it until she scraped herself up and bled...does it look like he skinned his ear, like a skinned knee sort of?

Donating YT 11K Club Member | Yes it is cause he's been scratching it a lot but i think it's an infecton because there's lots of earwax coming out and it has a weird smell. The other ear has no earwax, no smell, nothing at all. It's gross

Donating YT 11K Club Member | I took Teddy to the vet yesterday and they gave me drops for his ear. It seems to be doing better and he isn't scratching anymore And yes it was an infection. So hopefully it will be completely gone. He also finally got weighed and he is 8 lbs and full grown. I thought he was more than that so i was surprised.
