If I don't have to bother with it, that would be great!

My vet also told me that GOOD canned food is better than kibble. It's just closer to the source, less processed, etc. I know a lot of people say the kibble is good for their teeth... so brush their teeth! Or at least use that Petzlife spray stuff. If you can't find Merrick, Evangers is similar. www.merrickpetcare.com You can buy on their website and it's free shipping over $30 (I think $30). But I can get the cans for $2 around here and a can is about $2.50 on their website...

The smaller cans are $3 + 15% tax up here in Ontario, but it's so worth it for the peace of mind. Chloe does eat Orijen kibble when we have it, but it's hard to find around here & we've been out for a while now so she's been eating Merrick's canned exclusively. She loves Merrick's. We buy the lunch box variety pack. It has 8 different kinds in it. It's $26-something for that. She's liked them all so far, but her faves are the Granny's Pot Pie & the Cowboy Cookout. I find the venison kinds make her #2 very stinky, so I don't think we'll be giving that anymore. She didn't like the ones that were made into "sausages" as much, but she still ate them okay (one was Brauts-n-Tots and the other was something with lamb). I always smush up the chunks because I'm afraid they're too big. Do you guys squish it up, too, or just give them the whole chunks?!

				   | This is great news! I'm almost out of kibble too. I get him to eat a few pieces, but he also eats Innova Health Bars which are tooth worthy. I also bought a toothbrush. Wish me luck! Judy PS I don't break up the chunks, but Max weighs 8 lbs.

				   | Brandi loves the wingalings but I think since I started buying it they've reduced the amount of wings in the can....I'm quite sure I used to get 3 wings now there's a lot of liquid (that I dump out) and only 2 wings....but I do also buy the "smothered comfort" it's chicken thighs and it's much larger than the wing that's by merrick too....I'm a paranoid freak so I normally remove the bones....even though I've seen how soft they are....just holding them between your fingers they disintergrate |
