| Oh honey, I'm sure your baby will be fine. Is there an emergency number for the vet? The fact that she is able to do #2 is probably a good sign and it's only Friday so I'm sure she's just a little groggy from the anesthesia and the surgery still. I give my baby a small amount (I believe 1/2 ml) of liquid baby tylenol sometimes after certain shots if he is uncomfortable. Just for peace of mind, call the vet and there may be after hours on a recording. Best wishes and try not to worry. Your little baby will be fine I'm sure. |

| Try to encourage your baby to eat and drink often. Also, give her some nutrical... it sounds like her bloodsugar could have droped alot.... (thats what happend to bailey) we just got her spayed 2 weeks ago, but because the dog has to fast overnight it really took a tole on her blood sugar and we had to keep giving her nutrical every two hours. This could be the problem with your baby. Our vet sent us home with some pain medicine to give her for the following 3 days after the surgery... You know your baby best and if she seems like theres something really wrong then I would call an emergency vet. But it IS normal for them to be very sluggish and tired after the surgery... It took 3 days for bailey to be up and walking around again regularly |

| lily This is Tuesday, and Lily is doing much better now.she started waking up a little more Sunday and by monday she was ready to go bye-bye and wanting to bark at the horses, but all she could get was a weak bark.so we wouldn't let her bark, fearing it would hurt her surgery.i know,i'm very protective with my little girl.but she is starting to itch and licking alot, especially during the night.they said not to let her lick or chew, don't know how to stop her.but Lily is on the mends now,THANK GOD,I was so afraid she was going to die. Glad Lily is doing better today. For the licking, you can put her in a newborn or preemie onesie and just take it off for her to potty. This will keep her from licking at her incision. The other alternative is an "E" collar (the cone that wraps around their head) so they can't lick anything!!
