| Thanks to everyone for the great advice. He's letting me in his mouth using a finger brush and peanut butter flavored doggie toothpaste. We have a "grooming routine" where he gets his hair and teeth brushed and then gets a treat for being a good boy. So far it's been working, so I take that as a good sign. |

| DONT usepeople toothpaste . It has flouride in it. They usually have toothpaste in beef flavor or something that they will like. Yes, they sell doggy toothbrushes at petstores. However, for a puppy, I'd recommend using a finger toothbrush until he gets used to the whole toothbrushing experience.

| I use the Petsmart dog toothpaste, mint flavour, it is in the pet dental section of the store. For a tooth brush I use a small CET toothbrush I get at my Vets. The brush is about $2 and the toothpaste tube is about $6. |

| great advice everyone....once your pup gets more used to it and full grown, perhaps you can try a super soft child's toothbrush. That's what I use and it works just fine, no need to spend tons of money here. Look for the smallest head and the softest bristles you can find. They might fuss at first but will get used to it. |

| I finger brush at first, and then use a baby toothbrush.
