| I heard back from the breeder. She says she vaccinates her adults for Giardia and his wormer treats for that to. Said she was shocked because she just had Vet check and stool check on Hunters brother and all was fine and her Vet is super good. Wonders if he was just to young and his immune system wasn't mature enough. Say's she is sorry and hopes he is better soon, guess she should have kept him longer then she could have got him tested there. She will get his mom retested. The mom was at a friends house for awhile while she was away with her husband. Wondered if the mom picked up something there. It was a cattle ranch. |

| I bought Sophie was a reputable breeder in Washington when she was 12 weeks old, and then she didn't really want her to go to another home until she was 14-16 weeks. After I was home with Sophie for a few days, I became nervous (Sophie didn't have any health issues though), and called her to say "what if Sophie does get sick, etc.". She was so straight forward in her reply, "then I would take her back". It would seem that you don't want to return your pup, but the breeder should help with the vet bills in some way because 8 weeks is very young to be sent out in the world. Cattle ranch? Hmm...my daughter lives on a ranch with horses, cattle, chickens and manure. Honestly, I don't want Charlie out there due to the stuff he would pick up on his paws. Imagine Momma was sick with something when the pups were born. Good luck and if you do end up with "footing the bill", then consider it an education. Smart move to change vets if you are not 100% satisfied with your visits or conversations.
