On average, what age do girl yorkies usually go into heat? ?? yes, I'm just wondering because Mckenna is 8 months now and she's not spayed yet. I plan to make an appointment soon.

My Sassy had her first heat at the age of 7 mos. my other dog, Trixie was 9 mos. before her first one. Your dog could go into heat any day now, good time to get her spayed. Good luck with that! Martha

My little Roxee was right at 11 months. I kept putting her spay off because "she was so small." Well her heat came. Her spay is tomorrow, what a bad mommy!

| Average, I would say 6-10 months, but SOME are sooner or later but 6-10 months is the most common IMO.

I was waiting to catch up financially myself. I took my girl in at a little over 7 mths. I get a call the day I took her in for the procedure--she was in heat at that time, but they had performed the procedure anyway. She was fine and healed well, but I felt guilty and also paid 100 bucks more for her being in heat. If I were you I'd use my credit card to pay and do it now instead of later.

On average, what age do girl yorkies usually go into heat? Gracie was spayed right at 1 year old and she had not had her first heat yet.

Sadie is a little over 8 months old now and hasn't had a heat yet...I feel horrible that she isn't spayed yet, but LIFE has happened (boyfriend was laid off from his job and isn't having much luck with the job search as of late) and we don't have a lot of extra $....the vet we take her to wants $200 to spay her, $100 more if she's in heat at the time...I think $200 is a little ridiculous anyway, what do you all think? Anyway I'm feeling really guilty that I haven't had it done yet...hopefully we can get back on track financially soon and take care of it all...crossing my fingers that she doesn't go into heat in the meantime...this weighs on my mind EVERY DAY...grrrr...
