| Feeding schedules What kinds of feeding schedules do you have ya'll have your yorkies on? Tobie will be 7 months on June 18th and he's a picky eater....never eats a full meal at one time.... I leave dry food down all the time and he nit picks at it all day. Any one just feed them once or twice a day? New to this Yorkie thing and could use some helpful advice. Tobie's mommy |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | i had morgan on a schedule when i first got her at 13 weeks and she did well. i fed her three times a day at first. a week after i got her she stopped eating lunch and then a month or two later she stopped eating breakfast. she'd take a couple bites and that was it. So instead of picking up the food after 15 minutes i just left it in her cage all day. So now she free feds. Food is left out all day long but she usually only eats at night right when i get into bed. sometimes she'll take a couple bites at breakfast because i'll put her treat in her dish before i leave for work, but then again sometimes she'll just pick the treat out, eat it, and go back to sleep LOL so it all depends on the dog. Free feeding is fine as long as they don't gorge themself on the days worth of food in a matter of minutes and then demand more later. This is what makes them gain weight.

| Free feeding is a good idea if your baby is a picky eater We used to free feed before we started homecooking too.
