| Eye Infection Question Hello Everyone, I have an eye infection question. What are the symptoms? Sometime in February/March my Yorkie's eyes started to water quite a bit more than normal and it doesn't smell the best. I wrote it off thinking that if it didn't get better we would go to the vet. Well here we are in May and I noticed yesterday that one of her eyes has a milky cream colored discharge. It is coming out of the corner by her nose and you can see some floating on her eye. My mom wiped some off and she said there is the slightest bit of green mixed in. Does anyone know if it could be just allergies or does this sound like an infection? It looks like a trip to the vet for us. Thanks

| I would have your vet take a look at it. Without seeing, it could be anything. Good Luck~

| When I got my shih poo he had an eye infection. Watery, kind of cloudy, greenish, and he started to not open it all the way. I know in people medicine, colored discharge of any kind can indicate infection. One very incompetent vet even told me he had a cataract. Went to a better vet, got some ointment and everything cleared up. I wouldn't wait, take that baby to the vet and get some medicine. Hope its better soon.

| Ellie went to the vet last night. She has Conjunctivitis. She got eyedrops for it.

| Glad to hear that it can be cleared up with drops. My little Roxee had a sty in her eye. I had to put ointment in her eye and she didn't like it. SOmeone on here suggested wrapping her in a blanket to get the ointment in her eye. Hope your baby's eye continues to improve. |
