| How much is enough food? I'm kind of concerned that Sophie isn't eating enough food. She always has food down for her to eat but she probably only eats about 2/3 cup a day. I feed her Wellness Super Puppy Mix and it says on it to feed her size 1-1.5cups each day. How much do your little ones eat? Is this abnormal?

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | What is her age? If she's a pup and still quite little, she should really be eating every 4 hours or so. You could add some homecooking to the diet as they usually gobble it down.

| She's a little over 4 months. She weighs about 4 lbs. Sometimes I put some cooked meat on top of the dry food and she will then eat it all.

| Really? I have a bag of food and it says to feed a 10lb dog 3/4 of a cup a day... |

BANNED! | Most foods say that for an active dog they should eat 3/4 cup. Feeding properly depends on the dogs age, weight, and most importantly their level of activity. The more active they are they more they should eat. I feed mine 1/4 cup of dry kibble 2 times a day, because they are older already. When they are very active outside running their little butts off they get more food, because they burn off so much playing. |

| Emmy will only eat about 1/2-3/4 cup of food per day--I leave it out at all times and she will just get a little nibble when she goes by. Some days there is leftover and other days not. She does get small (tiny) nibbles of treats during the day, too and CHEESE--it is her favorite food. I cut it into very small pieces and use it for good potty, etc.
