Bella Boo & Diggy Too! Donating GS Member | List of meats Okay I have a picky (spoiled) 11 week old fur baby. I have to home cook a lot of his food because he is basically spoiled rotten (borderline unbearable lol) SO I was curious what meats you all use in your dogs diets. I never hear anyone mention pork? Is pork bad? Ham, pork chops etc. He does not approve of eating any meal two times in a row so I am constantly scrambling to get him interested in eating. His kibble is Innova. Id love to practice tough love and say he'll eat when he's hungry...here's the twist, he is hypoglycemic. I practiced a bit of tough love Friday in not offering wonderful warm fresh cooked meals so he did eat some kibble. BUT after sleeping through the night...woke up in a sugar drop seizure...so tough love just isnt an option so Can you guys list some of the different meats that are good to offer...I already do, eggs, hamburger, and chicken...anything else??? Oh I always mix kibble in the food, plus some carbs...baby carrots, rice, spaghetti noodles etc.......

| I've always heard pork products aren't good for dogs but at the moment I can't remember why. Have you looked into Nature's Variety raw food? My boyz love it. |

| So far I've only fed chicken and ground turkey but will try ground beef next. I've heard pork is bad also.

| Ground chicken, lean ground beef....Stay away from fatty meats like pork as they can cause pancreatitis, no turkey skin either

| We have tried boneless, skinless chicken breast and ground turkey. After this batch, Ellie won't get ground turkey anymore because it feels so greasy (I am probably just overreacting). Next we will cook a turkey breast and cut off only the meat for her.

Bella Boo & Diggy Too! Donating GS Member | I think I can actually get turkey breast from the butcher by my house. I think I am going to ask him to ground a chicken breast and a turkey breast for me and freeze little portions for him. Also I cook his meat on George Foreman. I cook for my skin kids on it almost everyday. The want a chicken breast with seasoning after school....well it used to be wanting McDonalds so I LOVE the Foreman, has helped my skin babies to eat better also!

| I've given Jake boiled chicken, boiled lean ground beef and turkey breast (no skin). Pork is bad because of the fat and sodium. |

| I Was Told chicken and turkey only[no skin, only white meat]by my vet.I had the same problem with Max {picky eater}he slowly broke out of it as he got older. My vet suggested only giving dry food for a couple of days until he eats it,but of course i couldnt follow those directions.I noticed when he has playdates he'll eat the dry food. The older he got the more he would eat the dry food.[he will be 1yr June 26]So keep trying or you'll find yourself cooking for your baby forever!!!

My problem is the hypoglycemia....I'd say WHATEVER DIGGY and make him wait it out and eventually I am certain he would eat the kibble..BUT I cannot, if I let him go more that 4 hours without eating something he drops into a seizure (has happened 2 times in 3 weeks) .... So he has me running circles and I think he knows it. My 2 year old Bella is spoiled but NEVER have I cooked for her...she shares with me and gets lots of treats but Diggy...I have to be more careful. Its driving me crazy and I am losing sleep! I am like a walking zombie trying to get Diggy fed and keep his sugar up. He eats something "new" whenever introduced but after 2-3 times he doesnt want that anymore. For example this morning, I get up make him scrambled ground sirloin mixed with Innova canned food and some rice. Nope wont eat. I wait a half hour still, nope. So I get desperate and know I have to leave for work in a little bit so I scramble him an egg, nope wont eat....so I offer cherrios....oh he plays and and chomps on it but doesnt eat it. I have to settle with giving him nutrical and as i am leaving my son is eat biscuits and gravy...I said Tannar give him a bite and see what he does....MOWS IT DOWN....Then my daughter eating Captain crunch says here Diggy eat this....MOWS IT DOWN it's soooo frustrating!!!!!! He is in no way sick at all. I AM AT MY WITS END!!!!!!!!!
