| I have never heard of this!! I'm in CA, and generally, Californians are pretty up to date on stuff. Heck, a lot of times, we start out the latest fads. But this, sounds too much like a drive-thru burger place to me!! I know that in Las Vegas, they have drive-thru wedding chapels, but to have someone come to your house to spay or nuter your pets sounds a little off to me. I'd for SURE check it out completely before even considering it!! Talk about un-sterile!! I know my house isn't sterile enough for that!! Good luck!! Suz

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | With small breeds - most all vets will run bloodwork before putting them under - I'd go to a vet you trust and leave the mobile for the larger breeds who do better under anesthesia....you don't want to take any chances |

| im sorry I wasnt as clear as I should have been lol. They do not come to your home, you take your puppy to the van. they have different locations and you drop them off and pick them up, They do cats also. |

| Oh i dont no. I would say they are all fully trained vets and assistants and just because they are a charitable group, no lesser trained than your local vet. I think its the mobile thing that would put me off, it would be a hard decision for me. One thing i can say, is thank god for these kinda services, for people less well of, as some vets can rip people of big time.

| I have decided to go with my vet and get him neutered there. Its going to cost about 500 but hes worth it to me. It is great that they have those services out there for low income families, I myself could have used them like im sure most people could as well, but I dont think for this breed thats a smart move. Thanks for all the advice :-) |

| I'm SURE the A.S.P.C.A KNOW'S what they're doing.. They have to go through all the SAME training your vet would have to go through I'm sure.. You should just go by one of their mobile clinics and check it out first before you make a decision. I also believe they would know there could be problems and would have the neccessary tools available to them just like a vet would have.

| Hey! I just wanted to let everyone know I decided to get Max neutered at the ASPCA mobile clinic. I went there this morning and there was about 15 people waiting. By the time the aspca mobile came there was 60 waiting! I was so lucky to get in! They took each animal in one at a time and when Max was called the nurse asked me question and gave him a check up, took his weight (hes 2.7 pounds and 6 months) she answered all my question, spoke to the vet who was also very sweet and she assured me he would be fine :-) they LOVED him lol. I kissed my baby bye (crying of course) and was told to get him by 3pm. when i got him he was fine! he was not sad or in any pain. Its now 10:30 and hes walking around doing so great he doesnt look as if he had surgery! the incision is so small and was very well done. I totally recommend the ASPCA mobile clinic. They were great and so sweet! they took care of my baby! I was not charged anything. Thank you guys for your advice :-) |
