Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Homecookers: what are your supplements? I want to make sure my boys are getting the right vits/minerals. They get Missing Link every day. I think what they're missing w/ my homecooking is calcium. How much are you giving each day? Are you using human calcium or is there a canine type at the pet store that has a more apropos dosage?

| You need to supplement with calcium. You can use Pet Cal tabs if you are not feeding Kibble. |

| Supplementing with calcium is necessary from everything that I've read. I would get a good book on this so you can make sure your baby is getting everything he needs. You can get the Solid Gold Bone Meal or the KAL Inc. Bone Meal...But the dosage depends on the recipe that you're using. The book I use is Dr. Pitcairn's Complete Guide to Health For Dogs and Cats. It's very informative and lets you know exactly which supplements and how much go in each recipe. Good luck!

| I also just use Missing Link. I also feed yogurt every day, so they are getting calcium from that.....
