| Once you feed the dog wet food she/he has a tendency will not eat the kibbles. I mixed canidae kibbles with merrick or evangers (one spoon of wet and 1/3 cup kibbles). She eats regularly that way. I noticed that if I put more wet food she will only eat or lick the wet food and leave or spit the kibbles. Similary, I try to feed her raw food (suppose to be very tasty for dog) she ends up not eating the wet or dry kibbles. |

| Well I have to agree about them spitting out the kibble...LOL What I have started doing is giving them the Merrick wet more as a treat once a week. Like 1/4 of the can (I have 2 yorkies a 15lb teapot and a 4.5 lber) then I keep the rest in the refrigerator. Every time I have tried to mix with kibble they do spit out the kibble and just eat the wet or lick the wet and won't touch the kibble. Maybe I will start doing what the above poster mentioned and just putting a little bit on the kibble. As for Merricks Dry I feed whatever flavor I want (I buy a 5lb bag at a time) and mix it with a 5lb bag of Canidae chicken/Rice. This way they won't get bored. That is my theory anyway...LOL

| i'm not looking to mix the two.. as it is now layla gets wet food in the morning.. then if she is hungry she eats her kibble during the day.. the only difference is now i also want to feed her the merrick in the afternoon as well as the morning.. Layla has never been a picky eater and i'm sure that if she gets hungry enough adn all she has is kibble.. she'll eat kibble |

| Merrick comes in two can sizes. A regular size can and a small, tuna size can. I'd feed half a can per meal of the small can. If you use the regular size can, about a 6th of the can per meal I guess. I feed two Yorkies, and it seems like the big can gives them three meals. Just put a can lid on top and refrigerate the rest. When you serve it, put the amount served in the microwave for about 15-20 seconds to warm it up. By the way, I recommend sticking to the chicken and turkey flavors - they seem to use whole real meats. The beef, lamb, etc. use "meal" and my dogs won't eat them. I feed home-made most of the time, but in a pinch I open a can of the Wing-a-Ling with the whole chicken wings. Great product and my Yorkies love it! Marla

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I feed 2 of mine the cowboy cookout the small can as I mix it with Wellness can for now. I feed 3 times a day so I only feed about a tablespoon each and they have Solid Gold kibble down all day. All 3 eat the dry throughout the day. The small can lasts me 2 -3 days in the fridge and then I just microwave it.

| Emma eats Merricks Grammy's Pot pie canned and she looves it. But we have started homecooking, so she only gets it sometimes now. It says for a 5lb dog to feed 3/8-5/8 of a can for an adult. We feed Emma about 3/8-1/2 a can, as she is between 3.5-4 lbs and she's only 10 months old, so she needs a higher caloric intake than an adult at this point. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, we leave dry food out during the day in case she gets hungry, but she usually only eats a few kibbles if any. And we put it in tupperware also
