Don't know what it's called, but I do know that Chloe's had it and the only shots she's had are her first 3 boosters. So, as long as Rocky has had those I'm sure he's received the Lyme disease vaccine. From what I can remember, deer ticks are brown w/ grayish-greenish marks. Let me check and I'll get back to you.

| I was told by a few vets, at a seminar, and by some dog nutritionists that they lyme vaccine is not proven effective and can be veryt bad for these little dogs. My own breeder said that they shouldn't have it. I've been putting a t-shirt on my dog for walks and brush in Neem powder before we go...check him over when we get back. My vet also has me keep Ledum on hand and says that if given within...so many days of the bite...is as close to prevention and cure as you can get. http://cassia.org/ledum.htm suz |

| Thanks everyone for helping me out! My bf called me and said he's getting this stuff from Home Depot, it's to spray your house w/ if you have a pet that brings ticks or fleas into the home, and kills them and is also supposed to kill spiders!!! He's going to do that today when he gets home from work, so then everything should be back to normal. I'm going to call the vet too to see if he has been vaccinated and if theres any other precautions I should take. I don't know how I would've made it through last night if it wasn't for Puppylovinnurse and Chattie'smom, so thank you guys soo much for listening to me panic and helping me out! You guys are the best!

| It was black w/ red on it, but I could've sworn I googled a deer tick that was black and red...I'm confused Here's the link, scroll down the the deer tick header, and on the right in that section there is one. I think the ones I found had different markings, but I'm not sure. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tick

| Called the vet He wasn't vaccinated for Lymes disease because it's not a problem in this area, but he's on the heartgaurd so that helps him. Everythings good w/ him! I'm soo relieved...now for my house to be exterminated....

| My boyfriend got this stuff from Petco, he got something for inside and outside. I guess once you spray the outdoor stuff, it's safe to go on the grass once it's dry. The stuff he sprayed indoors is safe too. He's asleep now, but I'll ask him tomarrow what it was. He said he did find another tick in the house after he sprayed, but it was already dead from the spray, so theres the proof that it works!
