I did get that for my maltese mix rescue , he has a little plaque but not bad, so the vet said to use this before we talk about having his teeth cleaned..he said use it for a few weeks, then with my fingernail the plaque should come right off, ..so I'm putting it in my yorkies water too..we have only been using it for a week, so i dont know if it works yet.

So once you've been using it for a few weeks, you're supposed to brush the plaque off? After that do you ever have to scrape it off with your fingernail again?
