| Missing Link Questions Ok, I got Summerlin some missing link, and now I have a couple of questions. 1) The bag says 1 tsp for a dog up to 20 lbs. Summerlin is 2 lbs 2 oz. I figure I should give her almost 1/8 tsp. Is that right? 2) Do I give her that amount once a day, or once each time she is fed? 3) I got an 8 oz bag, because that was the smallest petsmart had. It says to use within 90 days. Do I absolutely have to buy a new bag, or will it be okay to keep using the same bag after 90 days? There's no way it's going to be anywhere near gone, giving her 1/8 tsp per day. If that's the case, I'll start giving some to my other dog too, just to use it up. Thanks for your help. |

| Mine are 6 lbs and 10 lbs and I give them the whole teasoon each. I started them with a 1/4 of a teaspoon and worked my way up. I give it to them once a day in some cottage cheese I give them as a snack. I have giving mine it past the expiration date and its not harmful but its not as effective past the expiration date either

| If you type missing link in the search button above you will be overwhelmed with the amount of information available As for me, I put Bobbi on a full teaspoon of it at 12 weeks old (he was almost 3 lbs). Personally, I have been blessed with a healthy pup thus far (knock on wood).......he has never had diarrhea, throwing up or any type of reaction. He has not been off of it since then and he is 7 months old now and almost 4lbs. He has a beautiful coat, energy up a storm and just happy If you do a search, you will learn that many feed a sprinkle, 1/8 of a tsp, a quarter, a dab..........etc I have always feed the entire full teaspoon once a day and no problems. ML works for my dogs and I have used it long enough to see a dramatic change in both my dogs. You will find too that many knock it before they even give it time to work. You need to be patient and wait until new hair grows in before you claim in works or that it doesn't As to how to feed it? The best way for us is in a teaspoon of unsalted cottage cheese. Lately, I buy them the whipped cottage cheese and it's such a treat for them Good luck

Once it is opened it MUST be refrigerated and you should start the 90 day countdown. After 90 days, it is just less effective/potent. I write the date I started the bag on with a marker and discard the remainder at the 80-90 day range. I always have a new bag in the cupboard. Missing link plus has glucosamine for joint support (that's what I feed).
