| Science Diet Does anyone feed Science diet to thier Yorkies here? I feed Royal Canine but I was visiting my mother this weekend and she has her Dogs on Science Diet and mine Loved it. I am wondering if it was just because it was something different or if they really liked it better. Any comments on Science Diet?

| I feed both my dogs Science Diet, they both love it and have always done well on it. I have used if for years! They even have a "light" version for my big fat bulldog!!! It is all my vet uses, too.

| I read the above thread and what everyone is saying about Science Diet. Like I said, I love it and so do my dogs. Actually, it is not all my vet suggests, but it is one of them. I have tried other stuff and in "My opinion" it is the best for us and we like it. I also hardly think that anyone gets any kickbacks from Science Diet. Everyone likes different stuff and different things agree differently with the dogs. I also use it with my puppies when I have a litter.......just my thoughts on this.

| While I choose to NOT feed Tatum Science Diet after doing much research on other kinds, I have to say my toy poodle was on different prescription Science Diet ones for most of his life. Given his health issues, I had to trust my vet that he was being given what he needed. I think doing your own research is the best thing overall. I feed Tatum Innova and she loves it.

| I have no choice but to use the Hill's prescription diet for the bladder stones and Ralphie's test results are great so for now and maybe for the rest of his life, this is what I have to follow. He's happy and very active and he actually seems like his old silly self again. I guess I didn't realize how sick he must have felt inside from the crystals and stones as he never showed any apparent signs of discomfort. And he eats the U/D stuff happily, which surprised me because for the past 5 years he has been so fussy and all the excellent foods I used to give him, he actually would sniff and walk away and I'd be upset, not him. You have to do what's best for your dog's health, whether you think the ingredients are fit or unfit for humans. We are not meant to eat dog food. |
