I have no choice but to use the Hill's prescription diet for the bladder stones and Ralphie's test results are great so for now and maybe for the rest of his life, this is what I have to follow. He's happy and very active and he actually seems like his old silly self again.

I guess I didn't realize how sick he must have felt inside from the crystals and stones as he never showed any apparent signs of discomfort. And he eats the U/D stuff happily, which surprised me because for the past 5 years he has been so fussy and all the excellent foods I used to give him, he actually would sniff and walk away and I'd be upset, not him. You have to do what's best for your dog's health, whether you think the ingredients are fit or unfit for humans. We are not meant to eat dog food.
