| Spoon Feeding My spoiled Tiny eats endlessly when I spoon feed him. He's such a spoiled brat. Last night my hubbie was walking by us in Tiny's room and said "Hey are you feeding him with a spoon?," He wasn't that surprised b/c Tiny loves attention and to be babied. I was just refilling his wet food, I usually scoop it out with a plastic spoon and Tiny always comes up to the spoon and licks away. He's fairly small so I try to make sure he eats enough daily to avoid hypoglycema I'm terrified that he will get low blood sugar. I love him so much. I will spoon feed him everyday if he wants me to and hold his NylaBone for him to grind his teeth on for hours on end. The only repercussion may be if I have to go away on vacation and he had to be in someone else's care, they would not do the same for him . Well I won't let it get out of hand...(hopefully).He's brought me so much joy babieing him. Just wanted to share... Do any your dogs do this too?

| Yes, my daughter's little male was so tiny and did have a hypoglycemi attack so she would have to feed him with a fork or out of her hand. My other daughter's little girl, Chai loves to eat out of the hand too and she prefers her kibble to be on the floor rather than in a bowl. Some days when I think she's played too hard and hasn't taken the time to eat enough I will feed her out of my hand because she is so tiny...just 2 lbs at 5 months. |

| I did that also when I had my little Half-Pint just to make sure she ate enough. Sometimes the extra love and spoiling pays off...

| Maggie is very similar to your baby. She eats better if I hand feed her. One tiny kibble at a time. Today she is a little down. I have her right now on a baby quilt right in front of me and the computer monitor. My life has gone to Maggie. Some days I'm so tired that I'm dizzy. One day she will be all grown up and we can look back and laugh. When we go anywhere, she goes with us. She even has a car seat. So far she's a good traveler. Not too good at typing. It's taking me longer than usual to type this message. I have to back up and keep taking her typing out. |

| When you can, try to switch him to dry food. Its so much better for their teeth! He sounds precious! Lexy is also 2 lbs. at 4 1/2 months, but she eats like a little pig!

| I sometimes spoon feed Boo Boo as a special treat, but I didn't think anyone else ever did this with their dogs. I'm so glad I joined YorkieTalk. It's great knowing that I'm not the only one who spoils her furbabies. |

| I am guilty....Teddy was a pretty sick little guy right after we got him and I did what ever it took to get him over the hump. Now it's just sort of our little bonding thing. He eats better whether it is out of my hand or off of my spoon and I also know for the most part his exact consumption. I do also free feed him and have kibble available at all times and every once in a while he has a little snack attack and I see him munching away. I don't mind I just don't know what he is going to do if I die or go away because every one here definitely thinks I am nuts. |
