| Turkey? Can Yorkies have turkey? Every now & then, I will put a little turkey (lunch meat) in with Diamond's dry kibble and someone at work was telling me that dogs cannot have turkey? Is that true?

| Turkey has a lot of fat in it and Yorkies are prone to pancreatitis. I had a Yorkie -Pebbles that got pancreatitis and had to be on IV for 3 days fortunately we got through it but it was scary and expensive. I now only give dog treats and no table food they are just too sensitive.

Layla had some turkey on christmas day but only white meat.. and it was the real stuff so i coudl see the fatty areas.. but even then she didn't get much... if i were you and you wanted to give them soemthing special stick to veggies and fruit. so good for them and full of fibre!! |
