| very concerned about my baby, chewy this weekend my chewy went after a cat and injured his neck in the process. i took him to the vet, after noticing that everytime he would sit up, he would yelp. the vet looked him over and x-rays were taken. the x-rays showed that there is a small breakage in one of the neck bones (C2). the vet put him on an anti inflammatory and i needed to buy a kennel cage to make sure chewy does not jump on or off of furniture or go up the stairs. the vet also suggested we take him to a specialist for further treatment. we will be seeing this other doctor on thursday. i am sooooooo scared and have cried alot!!! Has anyone dealt with this kind of injury and tell me what i might hear from the specialist? Will he heal? |

| Oh, poor Chewy and poor mommy! How old is Chewy? Did he run into something when he was chasing the cat? I am always afraid they are going to "crash when they run so fast!! I hope the new doctor can help Chewy. |

| Yep, Been there done that My first yorkie, Whitby had the same type of injury also from our cat. Our cat and he used to play together and once the cat wrapped both paws around Whit's enck and flipped him. Whit had to wear a neck brace (cervical collar) for six weeks and was on the DL list, fully recovered, lived another 10 years just fine. |

| I am so sorry for you and your little guy. I hope all goes well with the specialist on Thursday. It sounds like he will be okay, as it has happened to other pups and they have been alright. Even so, you will be in our thoughts. Let us know how he does. Prayers from Charlie and Bella -->
