| flea prevention, parasites prevention, etc.... What type of flea/tick/parasite prevention do you use? Where do you get them from? The reason I ask is because I am thinking of buying these stuff online instead of from the vet to save some money especially since they work the same. The vet currently prescribed him on Advantage Multi which covers parasites, ear mites, fleas but he got roundworms in his stool today; the outside application is just not strong enough I suppose. I need something which covers the prevention of all types of worms and I don't have anything yet for his heartworm as the doctor say to get him tested in April 2007 and go from there. What do you guys think? Should i start him on something now instead? Besides the all types of worms (roundworm, hookworm, tapeworm, whipworm), ear mites, heartworm, is there anything else I should be worried about and anything that I need to buy for the best routine care?

| I have been using Frontline for 2 1/2 yrs. Buddy has never had fleas, however, I did find a tick on him last month sticking out of the top of his head! First time ever, it wasn't even close to being dead. For parasites I use heartworm once a month. I think I am going to switch to Revolution. I have heard it is cheaper and has heartworm in it as well. You might check on line for both. I know Foster Smith carries both. They do have their own website. Good luck. I do no you should never give your dog heartworm meds unless they have been tested for heartworm first. So I would wait until he/she is tested. Carol & Buddy |

| I bought Frontline off the Internet and it was fake. It looked exactly the same, but it didn't work AT ALL! I don't trust those online pet meds sites anymore. |

| heartworm medicine My dogs are two years old. I have had them on revolution. I had to take my male dog to the vet. Found out he has roundworms. Vet said revolution does not protect against that. I did not know that. Vet reccomended Sentinal. I am going to change. |

| Well, what I have found is that by the time you pay shipping there isn't any savings at all. I only use trusted sites like Drs. Foster/Smith and I only order when we have a huge order for shots and etc. that saves a little on shipping because it is the same as it would be if I only ordered flea medicine. Also, i tried to order Interceptor (heartworm medicine) online but you have to have a prescription. Online, it would have costed me about 15 bucks. My vet has it for 18 and no shipping. |

| Most vets will match any price you find, too. They want to keep your business PLUS, you know it's the real stuff, there's a lot of outdated/counterfeit flea meds being sold online. We use Revolution here and have never had one flea, tic, or worm

| heartworm and flea prevention Gee, I would never have thought of asking the vet to match the online price. I didn't think they would. Now I'm having second thoughts about buying it on line from what I've heard. Periwinkle |

| I used to use front-line on my dogs but I have switched to revolution, I have not found any fleas or ticks on my pets since I have used these products. With the front-line you have to buy the heartworm protection separately. But with Revolution you do not. I have been using revolution for 3 years now and no problems. They have all tested clean. I have not had worms, or anything. I really think it is a great product. I get it from my vet and I do go online and print out the cheapest price I can find it for and he matches the price. The last price match was with a place called Petshed.com and it saved me a lot. My husky is 13 years old and I have not found any fleas or ticks on her or any of my yorkies while using this product. I would highly recommend revolution as a protection for most pets.
