Our vet here says that Toto gets "goopy eyes" because Colorado is such a dry, dusty place and she is sooooo close to the ground!

She doesn't like it on her and looks forward to having her little eyes cleaned every day. She holds her little face up and sits very still. I think that mess is pretty uncomfortable and it really makes her happy to get her face washed!

BTW ... if your husband has a mustache/beard, I have found that in a pinch, his beard comb works great!! LOL

I have the same problem, so I use a eyebrow brush. I do look for one that has teeth's as close as possible, and Buffy don't get so scare when she sees the comb coming at her..lol

The whole thing is great actually...it has the slicker brush on one side which is great for getting out matts, and then the bristle on the other side...and then there is a fine tooth comb and a flea comb that fit right inside the brush head.
