| Post FollowUp's I thought maybe everyone could leave a followup on their babies! That had been sick, gave birth, broken little legs, fallen surgery etc.. suggestions that were given, that might have helped their babies! Just so everyone would know how these babies are doing? I myself have wondered but had forgotton the babies name, so I couldn't check and ask? I noticed members have been asking about the conditions and the wellbeing of these babies, and thought if there was a thread in regards to followUps, evryone could check in followups to see how they were doing? | Good idea, though I think if you reply to their original thread asking how their Yorkie is doing, most users that subscribe to the thread (and I think most do) would then get an email with your post and would be 'reminded' about the thread they made. Some people only come to post a question or two and we never hear from them again, but that happens online... But I do wonder about all the little ones as well that were sick or had injuries and want to know what happened! |

| This is a great idea that way everyone can look on one post. Well Toby is doing great. He only has one more day of his medicine for coccidia. He has been eating a lot more and doesnt have any signs of hypoglycemia. I want to thank everyone who responded to the post. I was really freaked out and you guys helped. |

| Cosmo was rushed to the vet sunday night and stayed until monday and found out he had coccidia and giardia. He has to take a pill twice a day and also I have to give him some liquid albon once a day. he hates thepills and loves the other stuff. He is actinglike himself again, chewing up everything in site, and playing with his toys. His vet bill was $185 and worth it I dunno what I would do without him, even though i had only had him a day we were attached to each other and still are. Having a little probablem with the breeder, but other than that everything is getting better a lot better.

| update on broken leg Sylvester may be healing slowly or not at all. They say we can keep him in the splint for 4 more weeks. I'm waiting on a call back for more info. I was wondering if there is any way to help the bone heal faster. Does anybody know if they have a bone builder for dogs? Thanks for all the help. |

| stacisnyder04 I am glad your puppy is doing well also. The more they take their meds the better they will get. Toby just finished his today and he is just as playful as ever. We had him 1 week before we had to rush him to the vet for his hypoglycimia. And then again 3 days later. His vet bills are now over $500 but worth it. Everyone kept telling me to send him back or get my money back. But his old owner has been so worried about him and i dont want her to say send him back if you want your money back because then i am out his vet bills. I would have rather paid his bills and keep him. Was your puppy shipped to you? Mine was and i hear that can be one of the reasons for him getting coccidia. I dont know if its true or not but thats what i heard. I hope everything goes good for you in the future. |

| lv2ridequads.. no he was not shipped to me the owner met me half way it was almost a three hour drive one way for me, so he was in the car a long time, but I gave him nutrical and plenty of water. I think he got it from the breeders but not sure because I got him the day before all this happened. But he is crazy jumping around chewing on everything now and cant get him to stop. lol.

| quick update It's been a while since I posted anything. Sylvester broke his leg back in March. They did alot of things that worried me. But finally we started going the right way. Then he chewed the splint and it rubbed a sore. It did ok for a while with them packing it with medicine and resplinting it. But he wouldn't leave it alone. This last time I took him they took the splint off and said lets hope its healed enough to be okay because they need to leave the sore uncovered. Now I'm really scared because I'm afraid he will start running around the house and rebrake it. And I thought it was bad when he had the splint!!!! How do keep these little dogs calm or keep them from jumping? I had to leave him with the vet for 4 days while I went out of town. When I picked him up they said he's doing great. He's walking on the leg with no pain but he still holds it up some. He's been in the splint so long I don't think he knows what to do without one. Thanks for all your help guys. |

| Well after 2 weeks of stress over the health of my baby and 2 vets i am very happy to say that Bailey is moving forward. The first vet said he had a common cold. well it turns out he had coccidia. i have now started him on his new medication and hopefully we will be able to clear it all up with this batch of meds. Bailey had a small drop of blood at the end of his stool which made me think parvo but he was just too hyper for parvo. The vet told me that the coccidia would of come from the breeder which makes me so mad! The 2nd vet also did a full exam on Bailey. He noticed that he only has 1 testicle. the other is somewhere hidden. He told me that if not treated, the 2nd testicle could turn into a tumer. if treated, the nuetering process will be a much bigger surgery and probably twice the price. All of this was not noticed by the first vet which was recomended by the breeder. I am just so happy that i have found a good vet and we are on the path to a healthy happy life! |
