My 18 week yorkie keeps coughing...

Oh Im thrilled to hear your baby is doing so much better!!!It's always a scary thing when they're sick and coughing. I just wish they could tell us whats wrong when these little guys don't feel well. So glad everything turned out good and she's on the road to recovery finally!!! Give that little girl a big kiss for me!

I am not sure if I should try this antibiotic...especially since a lot of people say they don't work. I just wish this cough would go away so she can wake up from her naps peacefully. When I got Tia at 13 wks she had kennel cough. It took a long time to go completely and is horrific to see when she had a coughing fit.Even got it on video to show the vet. My vet recommend human baby cough syrup to ease her throat too and it done the trick.
Anyone reading this ONLY do that on vets recommendation

That was a good idea to video tap him to show to the vet. I think I just might do that.

I have had three Yorkies, my sister has had 5 and my aunt has had 4 and all of them have coughed at times. I don't know why. My Aunt lost one to collapsed Trachea but the others were healthy.

What happened to your puppy - I do have the same problem with my puppy - 3 x antibiotics. Went to a internal specialist vet - She is now on cough suppressant and also prednisone.. But I am afraid we are masking a problem... Had X-rays for Trachea 2 x for her heart and also lungs. All looks good - she is about 14 weeks...
