| young showing silver I have a young male of 6 months old. He is already showing silver. I was just wondering if that is normal or could there be some type of genetic problem? |

| His body and the top of his head are turning silver. He has tan around his mouth but not really any on the top of his head. There is some tan on his legs also. |

| Looks like we have a Texas thread going here! My new litter is starting to show signs of silver also, but that's why I bred to a light-colored male, that's my favorite color. From what I can tell, they change colors a lot during the maturing process. |

| Looks like we have a Texas thread going here! My litter of 8/19 is starting to show silver in their paws already. But I bred to a light colored male on purpose. The impression I get is they can change a lot during the course of their puppyhood. |

| Gracie is just 13 weeks and she has silver growing in behind her black. She looks like she needs to have her roots dyed with hair dye! Ha Ha Ha

| Great sticky info on color change There is a sticky that has lots of good information on the hair color change. I have to refer back to it to refresh my memory periodically. Give it a try. |

| Black to silver My pup's changed color so much in the last 6 weeks I had him... From black and tan head he went to blondish and greyish/silver... His ink black fur on the back starts getting silver roots as well... It actually goes from head towards the tail, even his legs lightened up a bit. He's 3.5 months old.

| I love the silver! My Max is the lighter of the 2. Daisy is very dark. P.S. Born and raised in Texas! That is where I fell in love with yorkies. My dad and Step mom breed and raised them my entire younger life. |
