				   | I know it is safe to give them mineral oil, but I can't advise you on the amount. Maybe someone else will see this post that knows. Good luck...

				   | Two things: Check the rectal area for any kind of matting or blockage in the hair. Call the vet. It may not just be constipation.

				   | my little one was constipated for 41/2 days. It was crazy!! I gave him plain yogurt and it worked but I heard that canned pumpkin was really good for constipation. I was making a note to buy in in the morning but he went that night. Good luck and keep us posted. oh--- I forgot what really worked...a bunch of people and myself on YT did a poop dance for Zoe and he pooped that night. So it was definately the dance. Thanks guys!! Wait another day and request for us to do a poo dance for your baby!!

				   | Sorry, just saw your question. You can give 1 tsp. of pumpkin 2 or three times a day. If he continues to have problems I would continue giving it to him every day. It's also good for diarrhea so it shouldn't cause it. How is Charlie today? |

				   | I'm having many problems with my yorkie. She will have diaherra then get cosntipated. Would you give her pumpkin every day just as a preventative? Because of this I'm having no luck at all getting her housebroke. She's 10 months old and goes out if we catch her in time to get her out, but usually we are cleaning something up once a day. any solutations to this would help us too. We've never had a yorkie and we knew when we took her we were going to have some problems but the breeder never prepared us for this. |

				   | giving her pumpkin cant hurt but what does your vet say about her having diahrea so frequently. That is not normal

				   | LindaPat Yes, canned pumpkin (without the spices) is good for constipation and diarrhea, its a natural fiber and is used for regulating the digestive tract. I would give a teaspoon twice a day. If that doesn't work I would look into other possible causes although I can't think of any off hand. |

				   | Another thought, when you say she is constipated - do you mean the poo is hard balls or do you mean she is straining to defecate? Do you think maybe she could have a partial intestinal blockage that allows only liquids to get through (the diarrhea), but then is constipated when not everything can pass? Sometimes worms can be heavy enough in the digestional tract (they multiply at an unbelievable rate) and cause partial or total blockage. What is her worming history? Any other signs of worms like dull coat, lethargy (because of anemia), pale gums? Any recent signs of coughing spells? Blood in feces? Vomiting? | as a healthcare prof. i can tell you that any animal/human that is constipated has one major problem... dehydration.. your baby isnt getting enough water. try to sit down with him and give him water through a syringe. i can guarantee that with enough water his digestive system will try to regulate. also i highly recommend chiropractic. once his nervous system can work without being inhibited that tummy wont have any reason to be upset.ill be happy to answer any questions you have about it.. good luck! |

				   | The vet gave me something called Lax Aire for Little Bit because he strains a lot. You only give them just a tiny bit every other day. |
