| Best food fot tiny tiny yorkies... I have seen food for toy breeds but for dogs that are supposed to only end up 4lbs they must be very small as puppies. Do the need food that is a much smaller kibble? Recommendations? |

| Have you tried the Royal Canin Tiny Puppy? It's the only one I have found that Gracie can handle.

| Chicken Soup Puppy Formula has tinnie tiny bites. My 2 extremely picky eaters LOVE it! It is very easy to handle. Each kibble is about the size of half a pencil eraser. AND it is VERY good for them! |

| Royal Canine Baby Dog formula. For small breeds up to 4 months I believe. And then the small breed puppy formula. Very small bits. Mine love it. |

| If you already have food that your puppy likes, try using a coffee bean grinder to make them smaller or take a mallet and crush them up. Then you will both be happy! (And get your aggression out if needed! )

| Solid Gold makes a "wee bites" formula and I think innova does too. I feed Canidae, it's pretty small pieces - I think 4 lb-er would be OK but a 2lb-er might have trouble. Honestly, I know of someone who was feeding Eukanuba just because it was small. I don't think that's a good reason to feed a bad food. Dan & Corinne is totally right! Smash up that food!!

| Bella is 3 lbs and Gizmo is 1 lb and they eat chicken soup puppy without any problems---they love it! With Merrick I noticed that they were pretty big bites and they didn't like to eat it as much |

| The size of the kibble is definitely something I pay attention to. Sissy is 4 lbs, but in a body the size of a 2 lb baby. Her head is tiny, so if her mouth. Most of the adult foods out there have kibbles the size of a dime and they are just too big for her. Solid Gold Wee Bits is the smallest I have found (the size of small puppy kibble) and Chicken Soup Adult is smaller, but no where near as small at the Solid Gold. Other brands are just too big!!! Our other dog, an eskimo spitz (23 lbs) also has trouble chewing larger kibble. For some dogs it doesn't seem to be a problem, but for others smaller kibble is the way to go!

| Pixie (who's a little under 3.5lbs) will eat my MIL's dog food whenever we're over there.... Max is eating Iams Chunks (or whatever it's called). They're huge pieces, but she crunches on them like it's nothing. |

My current litter are going to be on the bigger side but could not handle this food, they got diahrrea from it so I have switched them to a lower protein puppy chow and they are fine. | |

| When my 4 lb Rowdy was a baby - I had to smash up his kibble because he just could not eat the bigger kibble. Now he eats Solid Gold Wee Bits
