The size of the kibble is definitely something I pay attention to. Sissy is 4 lbs, but in a body the size of a 2 lb baby. Her head is tiny, so if her mouth. Most of the adult foods out there have kibbles the size of a dime and they are just too big for her. Solid Gold Wee Bits is the smallest I have found (the size of small puppy kibble) and Chicken Soup Adult is smaller, but no where near as small at the Solid Gold. Other brands are just too big!!!

Our other dog, an eskimo spitz (23 lbs) also has trouble chewing larger kibble. For some dogs it doesn't seem to be a problem, but for others smaller kibble is the way to go!
